Regarding Adoption

One of my students came to school and told me his mom and her "boyfriend" were going to adopt a baby from China. I was somewhat surprised by this so I simply said "really?" His reply: "Yea, but I don't know why she would want to, she can't even speak Chinese." It was all I could do to keep from laughing!
